Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of individuals with developmental disabilities, physical and/or mental illness, and the elderly.
Ability to follow agencies policies and procedures, carry out directions, read and write, and understand in fluent English.
Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Assisting with activities of daily living. ADLs include but not limitied to recording and reviewing their plan of care; notifying agency supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.
Skills/Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED, First Aid/CPR, 1-year experience providing care for people with developmental disabilities, able to work independently, practice good judgment, ability to development client relationships, effective communication skills and listening skills, and thoroughness.

Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently. Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments.
Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, administering medications and supervising LPNs' and Home Health Aide's.
